"Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of God… the players on instruments shall be there: all my springs are in thee" (Psalm 87:3-7). "The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD" (Proverbs 21:31). "I saw… them that had gotten the victory… stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God… And they sing… the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvelous are Thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are Thy ways, Thou King of saints" (Revelation 15:2,3).
How glorious are the songs of love
In heaven where salvation springs!
The Lord shall call the roll above
Of harpists as the choir sings.
The triumph of the battle song
Shall be attributed, of course,
To Christ our Savior all day long,
And not the battle-ready horse.
The song they sing is of the Lamb
From hearts that overflow with praise.
How wondrous is the great I Am!
How just and true are all His ways!
O Lord, as harps in heaven play
With multitudes who gladly sing,
We join their songs of praise today
To say "We love You, Christ our King!"
