"Be still, and know that I am God... I will be exalted in the earth" (Psalm 46:10). "That thy trust may be in the LORD, I have... written to thee excellent things... that I might make thee know the certainty of the words of truth; that thou mightest answer the words of truth" (Proverbs 22:19-21). "They that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars forever and ever" (Daniel 12:3). "Have faith in God" (Mark 11:22).
There is a stillness God commands
That we may know He is exalted.
Let every heart that understands
Be no more by distraction halted.
That we may trust in God alone,
And not our changing situation,
The Lord has made His counsel known
With certainty in His salvation.
In stillness we are stirred to speak
And tell the lost there is a Savior,
Persuading them today to seek
The refuge of His saving favor.
O Lord, as we explore Your Word
And in the stillness hear You say,
"Have faith in God," our hearts are
stirred
To trust You more and more each day.
