Forming Fishers

"And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after Me, and I will make you to become fishers of men" (Mark 1:17).

Evangelism has a key
That guarantees a sure success:
Our Lord said, "Come ye after Me";
Do nothing more and nothing less.

Perhaps that sounds a little odd,
For shouldn't there be more to do?
Yet this instruction comes from God,
And so we know that it is true!

For only as our Lord shall lead,
And surely not at all till then,
Shall any efforts thus succeed
To make us fishers after men.

For such a time, Lord, in this place,
We follow with this expectation:
That You will lead us by Your grace
To fish for souls who need salvation.
