"If thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding; if thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures, then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God" (Proverbs 2:3,4). "But to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth as My Word" (Isaiah 66:2).
The fear of God is understood,
The knowledge of the Lord we find,
When we are praying as we should
And searching with an earnest mind.
To such a person God will look:
To him who trembles at His Word,
To him who searches in His Book,
And will obey what he has heard.
O Lord, we're finding in Your fear
The joy of drawing near to You,
And as You make Your knowledge clear,
It is Your heart that we pursue.
