"O ye sons of men.... how long will love vanity?.... There be many that say, Who will show us any good? LORD, lift up the light of Thy countenance upon us. Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased" (Psalm 4:2-7). "Doth not wisdom cry?.... Unto you, O men, I call, and my voice is to the sons of men.... For My mouth shall speak truth.... Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold. For wisdom is better than rubies, and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.... I will fill their treasures" (Proverbs 8:1-21).
O children of men, how long will you love
Your lies that have led to confusion,
Despising the wisdom that comes from above,
Removing the truth in conclusion?
You study the earth, the seas, and the sky,
But never discern truth, of course,
As science (so-called) is confined by a lie,
When God is removed as its Source.
The treasures of truth are certainly greater
Than material things they contain.
Behold now their Source, their magnificent Maker!
How long will you love what is vain?
O Lord, You have given us gladness of heart
And riches with much greater measure
Than all that this world could ever impart,
Abundantly filling our treasure!
For abounding much more than all of creation
Are mercy and truth to our soul
Affording forever Your wondrous salvation,
With treasures eternal and full!
