"The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance.... The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.... Thou wilt show me the path of life: in Thy presence is fullness of joy; at Thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore" (Psalm 16:5-11).
How good is the heritage given to us,
Affording the greatest of treasures!
The Lord is our portion; in Him is our trust,
And in Him the truest of pleasures!
For what can compare with His infinite worth,
And who else could heal our soul?
The lines of our lot which we have by new birth
Have thrilled us with joy that is full!
O Lord, we give thanks for our treasure in You
We've only begun to explore,
For morning by morning Your mercies are new;
Your pleasures extend evermore!
