"The king trusteth in the LORD, and through the mercy of the most High, he shall not be moved. Thine hand shall find out all Thine enemies.... Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of Thine anger" (Psalm 21:7-9). "John answered... One mightier than I cometh... He will thoroughly purge His floor, and will gather the wheat into His garner, but the chaff He will burn with fire unquenchable" (Luke 3:16,17).
Favor or fire: there's no middle ground.
Mercy or judgment: that's all that there is.
In Jesus our Savior a refuge is found,
For He bore the judgment for all who are His.
Favor or fire: which one will it be?
Our destiny pivots on how we will choose.
The Savior in mercy says, "Come unto Me."
His judgment awaits all of those who refuse.
Favor or fire: it's now our decision.
We dare not presume we may wait till tomorrow.
Flee from His wrath and avoid the collision
With oncoming judgment and unending sorrow.
