Lord of the Lowly

Read:  Psalm 138 / Proverbs 8 / Esther 6 / James 2

 

Psalm 138:6 ~ Though the LORD be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off.

Proverbs 8:35,36 ~ For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favor of the LORD. But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.

Esther 6:11 ~ Then took Haman the apparel and the horse, and arrayed Mordecai… and proclaimed before him, Thus shall it be done unto the man whom the king delighteth to honor.

James 2:23 ~ And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the friend of God.

 

The Lord is high, and He is holy,

Yet He delights in saving those

Whose hearts will seek Him and are lowly,

For to this end, He died and rose.

 

The Lord uplifts us through salvation

With countless blessings from above

That flow from our regeneration

As Christ befriends us with His love.
