Safety in our Savior

Read:  Psalm 105 / Proverbs 21 / Nahum 1 / Revelation 9

 

Psalm 105:1 ~ O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.

Proverbs 21:30,31 ~ There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD. The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD.

Nahum 1:7 ~ The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.

Revelation 9:20 ~ And the rest of the men… yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk.

 

We call upon our Savior’s name

As we proclaim His wondrous deeds.

There is no wisdom that we claim

Apart from Christ who for us pleads.

 

Nor is there safety we have found

Apart from Christ who guards His flock.

Though idols in the earth abound,

They neither see, nor hear, nor walk.
