"Turn again our captivity, O LORD… They that sow in tears shall reap in joy" (Psalm 126:4,5). "The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom; and before honor is humility" (Proverbs 15:33). "He hath showed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?" (Micah 6:8). "And why call ye Me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?" (Luke 6:46).
We
ought to fear captivity
That
brings reproach to Jesus' name.
Let
tears of true humility
Unshackle
us from sin and shame.
We
need to live with godly fear
That
liberates us from seduction
To
walk with God who draws us near
That
we might follow His instruction.
It's not the
tears of mere emotion,
But humble
hearts we need instead
That follow
Christ with true devotion
And do the
things that He has said.
Lord, give us hearing
ears today
With true
humility of heart
To hear and DO
the things You say
As from our evil
we depart.
