"I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it… He should have fed them also with the finest of the wheat: and with honey out of the rock should I have satisfied thee" (Psalm 81:10,16). "The memory of the just is blessed… The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich" (Proverbs 10:7,22). "They sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy… for Thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by Thy blood… Worthy is the Lamb that was slain" (Revelation 5:9,12).
The
Lord who brought His people out
From
Egypt, where they had been slaves,
In
that day had removed all doubt:
There
is no god like Him who saves.
How
quickly did that memory fade
As
through the desert they were led
Beneath
the pillar's light and shade
And
day by day with manna fed!
And
shall we make the same mistake?
Shall
we forget our Lord and Savior
Who
laid His life down for our sake
To
make us rich with heaven's favor?
The
memory of Your mercy, Lord,
Fills
earth and heaven's courts with song
Because
You rightly are adored
With
grateful praises all day long!
