"Thou that dwellest between the cherubim, shine forth… and we shall be saved" (Psalm 80:1,19). "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the Holy is understanding… but if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it" (Proverbs 9:10,12). "Make the careless… afraid… for, lo, it cometh" (Ezekiel 30:9). "[They] give glory and honor and thanks to Him… and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power" (Revelation 4:9-11).
The Lord who
dwells in heaven's splendor
Between the
cherubim has shined.
He came to earth
as our Defender,
Whom sinners yet
may seek and find.
This sinful
world may go on scorning,
In spite of all
the Lord makes known,
But those who
will not heed His warning
Shall bear their
judgment all alone.
The careless
ought to be afraid
Of wrath to come,
and seek God's face.
Give thanks to
Jesus Christ who made
Himself to be our
Hiding Place!
Soon at Your
feet we'll cast the crowns
For faithfulness
that You award,
As grateful
praise and worship drowns
All other glory
but Yours, Lord!
