"I have waited for Thy salvation, O LORD" (Genesis 49:18). "But mine eyes are unto thee, O GOD the Lord: in Thee is my trust; leave not my soul destitute" (Psalm 141:8). "By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil" (Proverbs 16:6 ). "We then, as workers together with Him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain... Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation" (2 Corinthians 6:1,2).
The Lord's salvation has been proved;
In Christ alone our souls can rest.
By grace our sins have been removed
As far as east is from the west.
Iniquity is thereby purged
From all who grasp His saving grace,
And by His fear our hearts are urged
To turn from sin and seek His face.
The time has come to now receive
The grace that makes salvation plain
And manifests what we believe
By bearing fruit that will remain.
O Lord, this grace we grasp is great
That will not leave us destitute.
On You we do not vainly wait
As You produce in us much fruit.
