"My son, give Me thine heart, and let thine eyes observe My ways" (Proverbs 23:26). "Neglect not the gift that is in thee.... meditate on these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all. Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them, for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee" (1 Timothy 4:14-16).
Neglect not the gift that was given to you;
For you are a steward of what your Lord gave.
Give yourself wholly to that which is true,
For the sake of yourself and others He'll save.
Neglect not the doctrine of God's precious Word;
Meditate daily on what He has done.
Give yourself wholly to what you have heard,
Looking to Jesus, God's glorious Son.
Lord, as You commanded, we would neglect not
To give You our hearts undivided and whole.
How sweet the commandment! How precious the thought,
That we may surrender to You heart and soul!
