"But God, who is rich in mercy, for His great love wherewith He loved us, even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ (by grace are ye saved), and hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us through Christ Jesus" (Ephesians 2:4-7).
Once we were hopelessly dead in our sins,
But God raised up with Christ Jesus above,
As now (and in ages to come) He begins
Unveiling the riches of His wondrous love.
How great is His mercy! How vast is the sum
Of blessings upon us that heaven has poured!
And O how amazing the ages to come
Shall be as He shows us the grace of our Lord!
O Lord, as we think of Your grace, we're amazed,
Though now we see darkly with vision obscured.
But when in Your presence at last we are raised,
How greatly shall joy through the ages be stirred!
