Leaning toward the Light

"Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.... I have inclined mine heart to perform Thy statutes always, even unto the end" (Psalm 119:105,112).

We lean toward the guiding light
From God's Word that has shined
To turn not to the left or right;
To God's way we're inclined.

For there is darkness on the path
That's void of God's instruction:
It is the road that leads to wrath,
The broad way of destruction.

His Word shall guide us where we tread
To keep us from each snare.
As for our pathway up ahead,
His comfort will be there.

Thank You for Your Word, O Lord,
A light to show what's true,
Inclining us to our Reward
That we have found in You.
