"The law of Thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver" (Psalm 119:72). "If thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding, if thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures, then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God" (Proverbs 2:3-5).
What is the knowledge of God worth to you?
What is its value by your estimation?
Will you seek her as silver to know what is true,
And search as hid treasures His wondrous salvation?
Our God surely knows when we are sincere.
He knows when we are halfhearted as well.
Our Lord counsels those who have ears to hear,
But He hides His wisdom from those who rebel.
What is the knowledge of God truly worth?
How shall we weigh the worth of its treasure?
Nothing suffices in all of the earth
To estimate rightly its infinite measure.
