Psalm 122:6 ~ Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.

Proverbs 10:5 ~ He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.

Isaiah 9:6 ~ For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given… and his name shall be called … the Prince of Peace.

Jeremiah 23:5,6 ~ Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper… and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Acts 25:12 ~ Then Festus… answered, Hast thou appealed unto Caesar? unto Caesar shalt thou go.

 

We pray for the enduring peace

That Christ the Prince of Peace shall bring. 

His government shall never cease;

Jerusalem shall praise her King.

 

He is THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS

To whom we prayerfully appeal.

To Him shall every tongue confess,

And every knee to Him shall kneel.

Justified by Jesus

Psalm 121:1,2 ~ I will lift up mine eyes… from whence cometh my help…. from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.

Proverbs 9:10 ~ The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. 

Isaiah 53:11 ~ He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

Jeremiah 22:29 ~ O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of the LORD.

Acts 24:14 ~ So worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets.

 

We lift our eyes to God above

Who made the heaven and the earth.

We marvel at His wondrous love

And thank Him for our second birth.

 

We preach the Gospel He revealed

In Scripture clearly prophesied,

For Jesus has become our Shield,

And by Him we are justified.

Truth Testified

Psalm 120:2 ~ Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue.

Proverbs 8:6 ~ Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things.

Jeremiah 21:8 ~ And unto this people thou shalt say, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I set before you the way of life, and the way of death.

Acts 23:11 ~ And the night following the Lord stood by him, and said, Be of good cheer, Paul: for as thou hast testified of me in Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at Rome.

 

The Lord has rescued us from lies;

His word of truth is always right.

There is no other voice so wise

That shows the way of life and light.

 

The Lord is standing by our side

Assuring us that He is near,

So let us who have testified

Still witness boldly, loud and clear.

Witness of His Word

Psalm 119:176 ~ I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek thy servant; for I do not forget thy commandments.

Proverbs 7:2 ~ Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye.

Jeremiah 20:13 ~ Praise ye the LORD: for he hath delivered the soul of the poor from the hand of evildoers.

Acts 22:15 ~ For thou shalt be his witness unto all men of what thou hast seen and heard.

 

God knows that we are prone to stray

And turn aside from His commands,

Yet by His Word He guides our way

As He upholds us with His hands. 

 

Let us give thanks for His defense

And for the witness of His Word,

As we declare with confidence

God be Glorified

Psalm 119:162 ~ I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil.

Proverbs 6:23 ~ For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life.

Acts 21:19,20 ~ [Paul] declared particularly what things God had wrought among the Gentiles by his ministry. And when they heard it, they glorified the Lord.

 

I have a reason to rejoice

As when a battle has been won,

He leads me by His wise command

As on His Word I have relied.

It is by grace alone I stand;

Let God alone be glorified.

If I dismiss His words of love,

I find His grace when I obey.

He builds me up, He makes me stand,

And He revives me day by day.

Heard and Healed

Psalm 119:146 ~ I cried unto thee; save me, and I shall keep thy testimonies.

Proverbs 4:20,22 ~ My son, attend to my words…  For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.

Jeremiah 17:14 ~ Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise.

Acts 19:17,20 ~ The name of the Lord Jesus was magnified… So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.

 

I cried to God; He heard my prayer,

And He responded to my voice.

He saved me from my deep despair;

He healed me, and I rejoice! 

 

As long as He shall give me days,

The Word of God shall be my guide

To live a life of grateful praise

That Jesus may be magnified.

Learn to Lean

Psalm 119:144 ~ The righteousness of thy testimonies is everlasting: give me understanding, and I shall live.

Ready to Reason

Psalm 119:130 ~ The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.

Proverbs 2:10,11 ~ When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul; discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee.

Time to Toil

Psalm 119:126 ~ It is time for thee, LORD, to work: for they have made void thy law.

Sinners may be Saved!

Reason we Realize

Acts 13:47 ~ For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.

 

The reason that we understand

What ancients did not realize

Is that we treasure God’s command

Who, by His Gospel, makes us wise. 

 

The Lord has shown us what is right;

His counsel is our meditation.

In darkness we will shine His light

As we proclaim His great salvation.
