Psalm 135:13 ~ Thy
name, O LORD, endureth forever;
and thy memorial, O LORD,
throughout all generations.
Proverbs 23:18 ~ For
surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.
Jeremiah 36:28 ~ Take
thee again another roll, and write in it all the former words… which Jehoiakim…
hath burned.
Romans 10:16-17 ~ But
they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed
our report? So then faith cometh
by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
The
Lord has gained a reputation,
Fulfilling
every prophecy.
His
promise gives an expectation
That
it shall thus exactly be.
Though
fools, like king Jehoiakim,
Have
spurned God’s Word that they resent,
The
Lord rebukes the proud like him,
Yet
saves the humble who repent.
