"Judah rejoiced… for they… sought Him with their whole desire; and He was found of them: and the LORD gave them rest" (2 Chronicles 15:15). "Arise, O LORD, into Thy rest; Thou, and the ark of Thy strength… This is My rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it" (Psalm 132:8,14). "His children shall have a place of refuge" (Proverbs 14:26). "If we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship… and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin" (1 John 1:7).
When
Judah had been through a test
As
silver refined in a fire,
The
Lord was their Refuge and Rest,
The
Joy of their utmost desire.
The
Lord God has also made known
That
there is a rest He has craved:
His
temple is found in His own
Whom
He has so graciously saved!
The
refuge we find from our Savior
Is
where He desires to dwell.
Praise
God! He's extended this favor
In
those whom He rescued from hell!
Our
refuge of rest is the light,
O
Lord, that is shining from You.
By
grace we are cleansed in Your sight;
Our
sins are removed from Your view!
