“Moses went up from the plains… And the LORD said unto him, This is the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob… I have caused thee to see it with thine eyes” (Deuteronomy 34:1-4). “Let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified” (Psalm 70:4). “Safety (lit. VICTORY תְּשׁוּעָה teshuw`ah) is of the LORD” (Proverbs 21:31). “Behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest” (John 4:35).
As Moses went up from the plains
Where God showed him all of the land,
Our Lord shows us land that remains
With vistas of harvest yet planned.
Let all those who seek Him rejoice
That they are commissioned by grace
To hear and obey the Lord’s voice
To magnify Him in this place!
The battle is raging today
With darkness preferred above light
By those who are going astray,
Content to march on without sight.
Yet vistas ahead are victorious
To eyes that are fixed on the Lord:
We look on the fields before us
And see God’s eternal reward!
O
Lord, with these vistas in view
Which
we have beheld with our eyes,
We
pray now for vision from You
That
makes us increasingly wise.
Lord,
give us the wisdom to win
The
souls that Your Spirit prepares.
Victorious
vistas begin
The
moment salvation is theirs!
How
marvelous, Lord, is Your love
Which
purchased our justification!
Victorious
vistas above
Are
filled with the joy of salvation!
