Charity's Champion

"Charity never faileth.... And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity" (1 Corinthians 13:8,13).

The love that springs from Jesus Christ,
The Champion of charity,
Displayed when He was sacrificed
Was shining strong at Calvary.

Faith will one day be replaced
When we behold our Champion.
Hope gives patience as we've raced
Until we hear our Lord's "Well done!"

But charity will neither fail,
Nor shall it ever be diminished.
Even so shall Christ prevail
When faith and hope at last are finished.

Lord, clothe us with Your charity,
As with faith and hope we run.
So we may shine with clarity,
As the moon reflects the sun.
