"Only by pride cometh contention: but with the well advised is wisdom" (Proverbs 13:10).
Look for the cause of contention,
And as you are looking inside,
You ought to give special attention
To the presence and problem of pride.
Surely we should be contending
With forces of evil today;
This is a battle unending,
Where not to contend is to stray.
But pride is an evil contender
That has only one thing in view:
To lift up yourself to engender
A higher opinion of you.
