His Harvest

Read:  Psalm 64 / Proverbs 9 / Jeremiah 8 /Romans 14

Psalm 64:9 All men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; for they shall wisely consider of his doing.

Proverbs 9:10,12 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom… If thou be wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself: but if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it.

Jeremiah 8:20 The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved.

Romans 14:12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

The day is coming when all men

Shall know the truth that rebels scorned,

For Jesus Christ our Lord shall reign;

Let all the nations be forewarned!

To God we are accountable

To labor in His harvest now,

For Christ alone can save the soul,

And every knee to Him shall bow.

Early and Earnestly

Read:  Psalm 63 / Proverbs 8 / Jeremiah 7 /Romans 13

Psalm 63:1 O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is.

Proverbs 8:35 Whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favor of the LORD.

Jeremiah 7:23 Obey my voice… and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.

Romans 13:12,14 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light… But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof.

Within this desert land we see

There is no water for our thirst.

So, early and more earnestly,

Let’s seek the Lord who sought us first.

The early dawn brings forth the day;

There is no time for indecision!

The Lord has called us to obey;

As for the flesh, make no provision.

Rendered Reprobate

Read:  Psalm 62 / Proverbs 7 / Jeremiah 6 /Romans 12

Psalm 62:5 My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.

Proverbs 7:24 Hearken unto me now therefore, O ye children, and attend to the words of my mouth.

Jeremiah 6:30 Reprobate silver shall men call them, because the LORD hath rejected them.

Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

In Christ we have an expectation

Of promises for which we wait.

But those refusing His salvation

Have rendered themselves reprobate.

The reason for our hope is plain,

For Jesus Christ is our Defender.

Our confidence is not in vain;

Our joy is found in full surrender.
