"O LORD my Rock; be not silent to me: lest, if Thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit… They regard not the works of the LORD, nor the operation of His hands" (Psalm 28:1,5). "Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end" (Proverbs 19:20). "Will ye not receive instruction to hearken to My words? saith the LORD" (Jeremiah 35:13). "The Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil… and… direct your hearts into the love of God" (2 Thessalonians 3:3,5).
God's
Word is precious as we read
And
He is speaking to our heart
With
counsel that we surely need
For
wisdom that He will impart.
Neglecting
God's Word has its cost!
His
truth we daily need to hear,
Lest
we be like those who are lost
When
Christ-like living is not clear.
How
dangerous is the seduction
That
wrestles with our hearts within
If
we neglect our Lord's instruction
That
daily cleanses us from sin.
We
thank You, Lord, that we may choose
To
hear and to obey Your voice.
We
either listen, or we lose
Your
Word's direction– by our choice.
