Freedom's Fountain

Read:  Psalm 58 / Proverbs 3 / Jeremiah 2 /Romans 8

 

Psalm 58:3 The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.

Proverbs 3:33 The curse of the LORD is in the house of the wicked: but he blesseth the habitation of the just.

Jeremiah 2:13 For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.

Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

 

The wicked blindly still declare

The lies enslaving them from youth. 

Though God has spoken, they don’t care

To search for freedom in the truth. 

 

Yet freedom blesses those once cursed;

Deception’s prison bars are broken! 

God’s fountain satisfies our thirst

By every word that He has spoken.

Cry to Christ

Read:  Psalm 57 / Proverbs 2 / Jeremiah 1 /Romans 7

 

Psalm 57:2 I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performeth all things for me.

Proverbs 2:3,5 Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding… Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.

Jeremiah 1:19 They shall fight against thee; but they shall not prevail… for I am with thee, saith the LORD, to deliver thee.

Romans 7:24-25 O wretched man that I am! Who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

 

I’ll cry to Christ, for He is near

To save me as on Him I call. 

I’ll learn to walk in godly fear

That He may reign as Lord of all. 

 

I see the wretched man I am:

The battle rages from within!

I thank the Lord and praise the Lamb

Who lives to rescue me from sin! 

Victorious by His Vows

Read:  Psalm 56 / Proverbs 1 / Isaiah 66 /Romans 6

 

Psalm 56:12,13 Thy vows are upon me… Thou hast delivered my soul from death: wilt not thou deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?

Proverbs 1:33 But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.

Isaiah 66:2 To this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.

Romans 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

 

I hear the vows of Christ my Savior

Which stir my heart with confidence

To claim the blessings of His favor,

Assured that He is my Defense. 

 

Each circumstance that He allows

Shall be attended with His grace.

I am victorious by the vows

Of Christ who is my Hiding Place.
