Psalm 3:2,3 ~ Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah. But Thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.
Proverbs 9:12 ~ If thou be wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself: but if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it.
Isaiah 13:11 ~ I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.
John 2:22 ~ When… he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.
The things that people falsely say
Which contradict the Word of God
Shall be exposed as lies someday,
Though fools approve them and applaud.
The promise of our Lord to rise
Was heard by those who mocked His claim,
But Jesus rose to their surprise,
And liars thus were put to shame.
