Seek the Savior

"Blessed are they that… seek Him with the whole heart" (Psalm 119:2).  "Through desire a man, having separated himself, seeketh and intermeddleth with all wisdom… The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe… The ear of the wise seeketh knowledge" (Proverbs 18:1,10,15).  "Their glory shall fly away like a bird… because they did not hearken unto him" (Hosea 9:11,17).  "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind" (Matthew 22:37). 

The Lord will bless those who will turn

To seek the Lord with all their heart. 

He sees the heart of all who yearn

For knowledge that He will impart. 

Desire prompts a separation

From those who simply do not care,

Who do not think they need salvation,

Who walk in darkness, unaware.   

All those who will refuse to pray,

Indifferent to the Savior's Word,

Shall see their glory fly away,

Returning never, as a bird.

O Lord, our Savior from above,

We seek You, finding grace so full

That draws us to respond with love

With all our heart, our mind, and soul!
