"Hast thou an arm like God?.... Then will I also confess unto thee that thine own right hand can save thee" (Job 41:9,14). "To whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?.... Surely He hath borne our griefs and carried our sorrows.... by His knowledge shall My righteous Servant justify many, for He shall bear their iniquities" (Isaiah 53:1,5,11).
There is a mighty, saving arm,
That fought for you and me.
To save us from eternal harm,
He went to Calvary.
He bore our griefs and sorrows there,
With our iniquities.
Whose arm with His then can compare,
That justifies and frees?

Want Wisdom?
"Who hath put wisdom in the inward parts? Or who hath given understanding to the heart?" (Job 38:36). "My son, be wise and make My heart glad" (Proverbs 27:11).
Who has put wisdom in our inward parts,
Or gives understanding to each of our hearts?
Who has imparted our power to reason,
And prompts us to call upon Him in due season?
It's God who puts wisdom inside of our mind.
He pleads with us daily, and wants us to find
The truth of salvation that makes a man free.
If you truly want it, He'll cause you to see.

The Favor of His Fear
"Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord.... He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord" (Psalm 112:1,7).
The man who fears the Lord is blessed;
He does not have to fear.
For God Himself will give him rest
From evil tidings here.
His heart is fixed; he trusts the Lord;
He need not be afraid.
For God is working all toward
The good plans He has made.
The man who fears the Lord is blessed;
He does not have to fear.
For God Himself will give him rest
From evil tidings here.
His heart is fixed; he trusts the Lord;
He need not be afraid.

The good plans He has made.
Wondrous Works
"Consider the wondrous works of God" (Job 37:14). "The works of the Lord are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein.... He hath made His wonderful works to be remembered.... He sent redemption unto His people" (Psalm 111:2,4,9).
Consider the wonderful works of the Lord:
What awe they inspire! What pleasure afford!
Creation displays God's omnipotent hand,
Beheld in the heavens, the sea, and the land.
Consider the love that planned our salvation,
Exceeding His wisdom displayed in creation!
The love that redeemed us is boundless in measure.
Exploring His love will provide endless pleasure!

Terrific Teacher
"Behold, God exalteth by His power: who teacheth like Him?" (Job 36:22).
Who can teach like God above
With His eternal power?
Who can match His boundless love
That cares for us each hour?
Consider God your faithful Guide;
Take heed to what you've heard.
For He has promised to abide,
And teach you by His Word.

Ransom Restriction
"Because there is wrath, beware lest He take thee away with His stroke: then a great ransom cannot deliver thee" (Job 36:18). "When Jesus heard it, He saith unto them... I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance" (Mark 2:17).
The ransom is paid, but sinner beware:
It's payment is void if you'll never care
To turn and repent from your sinful behavior,
And trust Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.

Prayer for Prudence
"Surely it is meet to be said unto God.... That which I see not, teach Thou me" (Job 34:31,32).
Surely it is right to say:
Show me, Lord, Your perfect way.
And when at times I fail to see,
Lord, teach Your holy will to me.
Surely it is right to say:
Show me, Lord, Your perfect way.
And when at times I fail to see,
Lord, teach Your holy will to me.

Rhetoric of the Redeemed
"O give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good: for His mercy endureth forever. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom He hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy" (Psalm 107:1,2).
Let the redeemed of the Lord say so!
Let them give thanks that the world may know,
That God came from heaven that He might bestow,
Redemption by shedding His blood here below.
Yes, let them consider the Savior who came
To lay down His life to redeem them from shame.
Let them declare that there's no other name
But Jesus that saves us, and publish His fame!
Let the redeemed of the Lord say so!
Let them give thanks that the world may know,
That God came from heaven that He might bestow,
Redemption by shedding His blood here below.
Yes, let them consider the Savior who came
To lay down His life to redeem them from shame.

The Ransom Revealed
"God is greater than man.... He is gracious unto him, and saith, Deliver him from going down to the pit: I have found a ransom" (Job 33:12,24). "The Son of Man came... to give His life a ransom for many" (Mark 10:45).
There is a ransom God has found
That saves the sinner's soul,
Wherein His grace and truth abound,
To pay your debt in full.
Behold your ransom in God's Son!
Consider Him anew!
The price is paid! His work is done
Upon the cross for you!
There is a ransom God has found
That saves the sinner's soul,
Wherein His grace and truth abound,
To pay your debt in full.
Behold your ransom in God's Son!
Consider Him anew!
The price is paid! His work is done
Upon the cross for you!

Sure vs. Sham
"The chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate, saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while He was yet alive, After three days I will rise again. Command therefore that the sepulcher be made sure until the third day.... Pilate therefore said unto them, Ye have a watch: go your way, make it as sure as ye can" (Matthew 27:62-65).
The guard surrounded Jesus' tomb,
Intending that they would exhume
His body, that they did assume
In three days would be there.
Make it sure, as Pilate said;
Christ is risen from the dead!
And in the future, just ahead,
We'll meet Him in the air!
The guard surrounded Jesus' tomb,
Intending that they would exhume
His body, that they did assume
In three days would be there.

Selfless Savior
"The chief priests mocking Him, with the scribes and elders, said, He saved others; Himself He cannot save" (Matthew 27:41,42).
He could not save Himself and us,
'Twas either/or at Calvary.
He made His choice, and it was thus:
He gave Himself for you and me.
He could not save Himself and us,
'Twas either/or at Calvary.
He made His choice, and it was thus:
He gave Himself for you and me.
Pilate's Perplexity
"Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then, with Jesus which is called Christ?" (Matthew 27:22).
Why did Pilate ask the crowd
What He should with Christ?
That clueless mob was not endowed
With wisdom that sufficed.
Nor is this age sufficient yet
To tell you what to do.
How much rather should you let
God's Spirit counsel you!
Why did Pilate ask the crowd
What He should with Christ?
That clueless mob was not endowed
With wisdom that sufficed.
Nor is this age sufficient yet
To tell you what to do.
How much rather should you let
God's Spirit counsel you!

He Looked with Love
"He hath looked down from the height of His sanctuary; from heaven did the Lord behold the earth; to hear the groaning of the prisoner; to loose those that are appointed to death" (Psalm 102:19,20).
The Lord looked down from heaven's throne
With eyes of love to see
And ears to hear the prisoner groan,
That He might set him free.
And thus it was He heard my cry;
He saw my deepest need.
He came to earth to live, to die,
To rise, to save, and lead.
The Lord looked down from heaven's throne
With eyes of love to see
And ears to hear the prisoner groan,
That He might set him free.
And thus it was He heard my cry;
He saw my deepest need.
He came to earth to live, to die,
To rise, to save, and lead.

Hour to Honor
"And He cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with Me one hour?" (Matthew 26:40).
What? Could I not for Jesus' sake
For just an hour, sleep forsake?
Could I not then watch and pray,
And could I not just then obey?
Lord, you watched and prayed for me.
You gave Yourself to make me free.
Yes, I will watch with You an hour.
Yes, I will pray for grace and power.

Thoroughly Thankful
"Make a joyful noise unto the Lord.... Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise: be thankful unto Him, and bless His name" (Psalm 100:1,4,5).
As we enter now into His gates,
What is it here that meets the eye?
Behold! The brazen altar waits,
And there a sacrifice must die.
These are shadows of the Christ,
The Lamb for sinners slain.
Be thankful He was sacrificed,
And that He rose again!
As we enter now into His gates,
What is it here that meets the eye?
Behold! The brazen altar waits,
And there a sacrifice must die.
These are shadows of the Christ,
The Lamb for sinners slain.
Be thankful He was sacrificed,
And that He rose again!
It Wasn't Wasted
"Now when Jesus was in Bethany... there came unto Him a woman having an alabaster box of very precious ointment, and poured it on His head, as He sat at meat. But when His disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, to what purpose was this waste?" (Matthew 11:26).
Nothing's ever wasted
In worship to the Lord.
As worshipper's have tasted,
It yields a sweet reward.
For worship is as sweet perfume
Within the house of God.
It's fragrance fills up every room
And sheds His love abroad.
Nothing's ever wasted
In worship to the Lord.
As worshipper's have tasted,
It yields a sweet reward.
For worship is as sweet perfume
Within the house of God.
It's fragrance fills up every room
And sheds His love abroad.

The Sight of Salvation
"The Lord hath made known His salvation: His righteousness hath He openly showed in the sight of the heathen.... All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God" (Psalm 98:2,3).
The Lord has made known His salvation.
Our Savior did not hide from us His plan.
He has revealed His truth to every nation.
The Lord of glory came to earth as Man.
The has Lord shined darkness with His light.
He gave His Son to die for you and me.
He showed His love in every nation's sight.
And by His truth the captive is set free.
Winner's Wisdom
"The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise" (Proverbs 11:31).
Keep your eyes upon the prize:
Riches stored up in the skies.
He that wins a soul is wise,
And joy is his reward.
There's nothing else we'll bring from earth
Than souls that have a second birth.
God has thus declared their worth:
Their ransom is the Lord.
Keep your eyes upon the prize:
Riches stored up in the skies.
He that wins a soul is wise,
And joy is his reward.
There's nothing else we'll bring from earth
Than souls that have a second birth.

Ready for His Return
"Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of Man cometh" (Matthew 24:44).
The Lord is coming back again.
We do not know the hour when.
Even so, Lord, come! Amen!
We wait for Your return.
The coming of our Lord draws near.
Soon our Savior shall appear.
We shall hold that promise dear,
As for that day we yearn!
The Lord is coming back again.
We do not know the hour when.
Even so, Lord, come! Amen!
We wait for Your return.
The coming of our Lord draws near.
Soon our Savior shall appear.
We shall hold that promise dear,
As for that day we yearn!

Scorner's Scourge
"If thou be wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself: but if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it" (Proverbs 9:12).
The scorner mocks, yet he shall bear
His judgment in the end.
For soon He'll stand in judgment where
There'll be no hope or friend.
It need not be! Now scorner turn
To Christ who bore your sin!
Come to Jesus Christ and learn
How new life can begin!
The scorner mocks, yet he shall bear
His judgment in the end.
For soon He'll stand in judgment where
There'll be no hope or friend.
It need not be! Now scorner turn
To Christ who bore your sin!
Come to Jesus Christ and learn
How new life can begin!

Oblivious to the Obvious
"Yet they say, the Lord shall not see... Understand ye brutish among the people: and ye fools, when will ye be wise? He that planted the ear, shall He not hear? He that formed the eye, shall He not see?" (Psalm 94:7-9).
Though the blind refuses yet to be wise,
Though the deaf by choice still never hears,
Surely God sees, who has formed our eyes;
Surely God hears, who has planted our ears.
Though the blind refuses yet to be wise,
Though the deaf by choice still never hears,
Surely God sees, who has formed our eyes;
Surely God hears, who has planted our ears.

Negating the Noise
"The floods have lifted up, O Lord, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their waves: the Lord on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea" (Psalm 93:3,4).
The floods have lifted up their voice,
The floods of fools who shout:
"There is no God!" But soon their noise
Shall cease and they'll find out.
For God is mightier than their waves
And when their noise is stilled,
The world shall know that Jesus saves,
Yes! Jesus, whom they killed!
The floods have lifted up their voice,
The floods of fools who shout:
"There is no God!" But soon their noise
Shall cease and they'll find out.
For God is mightier than their waves
And when their noise is stilled,
The world shall know that Jesus saves,
Yes! Jesus, whom they killed!

Perennial Palm
"The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree... those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bring forth fruit in an old age" (Psalm 92:12-14).
The grace of God that made our sea
Of stormy youth a calm,
In old age, as a mighty tree,
Shall flourish like the palm.
The grace of God that made our sea
Of stormy youth a calm,
In old age, as a mighty tree,
Shall flourish like the palm.

War of the Worms
"I know that my Redeemer liveth, and that He shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: and though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God: whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold" (Job 19:25,26). So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory" (1 Corinthians 15:54).
The worms may think they've won the war
Against the body in the grave,
But they can't know what lies in store,
For those whom God is pleased to save.
For my Redeemer lives, I know,
And gives to us eternal life.
He won the war against our foe:
The worms of death have lost the strife!
For soon enough our eyes shall see
Our risen Lord reign on this earth.
Then clothed in immortality,
We shall proclaim our Savior's worth!

We shall proclaim our Savior's worth!

Latter Light
"The path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day" (Proverbs 4:18).
The path of the just grows brighter each day,
As they walk with the Lord, as they learn to obey,
As they live in the light of His purpose and way,
As they grow in His grace, as they trust, and they pray.
The path of the just grows brighter each day,
As they walk with the Lord, as they learn to obey,
As they live in the light of His purpose and way,
As they grow in His grace, as they trust, and they pray.

Try Trust
"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding" (Proverbs 3:5).
Trust in the Lord with all of your heart.
He understands when our knowledge fails.
In spite of our failures our Lord will impart
His own understanding that always prevails.
Trust in the Lord with all of your heart.
He understands when our knowledge fails.
In spite of our failures our Lord will impart
His own understanding that always prevails.

Pleased to Plead
"O that one might plead for a man with God, as a man pleadeth for his neighbor" (Job 16:21). "For there is one God, and one Mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5).
It pleased the Lord to plead for us
By sending Jesus Christ.
He lived, He died, He rose, and thus
Our Lord was sacrificed.
Lord of life, our Mediator,
The sinner's perfect plea,
Thank you, Jesus Christ our Savior,
For pleading thus for me.
It pleased the Lord to plead for us
By sending Jesus Christ.
He lived, He died, He rose, and thus
Our Lord was sacrificed.
Lord of life, our Mediator,
The sinner's perfect plea,
Thank you, Jesus Christ our Savior,
For pleading thus for me.

Considerations of His Consolations
"Are the consolations of God small with thee?" (Job 15:11).
How great the consolations are that God bestows each day!
We have so great salvation and the privilege to pray.
Peace that passes understanding, truth that makes us free,
Are daily benefits He's handing now to you and me.
How great the consolations are that God bestows each day!
We have so great salvation and the privilege to pray.
Peace that passes understanding, truth that makes us free,
Are daily benefits He's handing now to you and me.
