Danger of Damnation

Read:  Psalm 119:129-136 / Proverbs 31 / Job 36 /Mark 3

Psalm 119:130 The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.

Proverbs 31:8 Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction.

Job 36:18 Because there is wrath, beware lest he take thee away with his stroke: then a great ransom cannot deliver thee.

Mark 3:28,29 All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men... But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation.

The Word of God gives understanding;

It shines His light upon our path. 

It is the voice of God commanding

The lost to flee from coming wrath.

Because there's wrath, we preach salvation

To everyone whom we may warn. 

Beware!  The danger of damnation

Yet looms for those who choose to scorn! 

Time for the Task

Read:  Psalm 119:121-128 / Proverbs 30 / Job 35 /Mark 2

Psalm 119:126 It is time for thee, LORD, to work: for they have made void thy law.

Proverbs 30:4-5 Who hath ascended up into heaven?... Who hath established all the ends of the earth?... Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that… trust in him.

Job 35:10-11 None saith, Where is God my maker, who giveth songs in the night; Who teacheth us more than the beasts of the earth, and maketh us wiser than the fowls of heaven?

Mark 2:17 Jesus... saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

It's time for us to be employed

In doing what the Lord commands. 

Though fools now His law is void,

The Word of God forever stands.

They do not even think to ask

Who made the marvels of creation,

So God has given us the task

To preach the Word of His salvation!  

Hurry to Hide

Psalm 119:113-114 I hate vain thoughts... thy law do I love. Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word.

Proverbs 29:25 The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.

Job 34:21,22 For his eyes are upon the ways of man, and he seeth all his goings. There is no darkness, nor shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.

Mark 1:15 The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

We plead with souls that they may hurry

To find in Christ their hiding place. 

In Him there is no cause for worry,

For He has saved us by His grace. 

His holy eyes see everyone;

There is no other place to hide.  

We plead with sinners now to run

To Jesus Christ who for us died.
